Enviros presents to the MOD

Event: MOD Environment and Safety Assurance Symposium 08

Venue: MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol

This week, the MOD is holding its Environment and Safety Assurance Symposium 'ESAS 08 ' in Bristol. The conference will address safety and environmental issues confronting the MOD in procuring and operating today's defence equipment.

Enviros has been heavily involved in ESAS 08, organising the event with Atkins on behalf of the MOD. Both Steve Rintoul, Enviros Commercial Director and Joe Joseph, Enviros Commercial Manager have helped shape the agenda and evaluated and selected papers for presentation.

Several key members of Enviros staff will also be presenting at the event itself:

• Day One - 30 September: Steve Rintoul will be running a surgery on Project-Oriented Environmental Management Systems (POEMS)
• Day Two - 1 October: Austin Jones will be presenting a paper on the 'Environmental Case'.
• Day Two - 1 October: Alan White and Peter Young will be running a workshop on ordnance - through life responsibilities for environmental and safety risk
