Enviros calculates carbon footprint for Coca Cola products
Carbon footprint of Coca-Cola Drinks Products 2007/8
In conjunction with the Carbon Trust, Enviros calculated the carbon footprint of a number of soft drinks from Coca-Cola's portfolio in Great Britain. The work was undertaken in accordance with PAS2050. The carbon footprint was calculated from raw material production through to use and disposal of the product by the consumer.
A spreadsheet model was developed to allow the company to evaluate carbon reduction opportunities and impacts of supply chain changes. The carbon footprints can be used by the company to inform consumers and to help the company improve their management of carbon emissions.
As legislation and awareness amongst consumers grows, many companies are now calculating their carbon footprint and then taking steps to reduce it.
Enviros has been calculating carbon footprints for organisations for many years and under the Carbon Trusts Carbon Management programme since 2004. Our service offering includes:
- Corporate footprints
- Product footprints and labelling
- Footprints of a supply chain
- Carbon footprint awareness workshops and employee engagement
- Programmes to reduce carbon through carbon management or achieving carbon neutrality through technology investment or offsetting
