Enviros appoints EIA technical director
Enviros is pleased to announce that Alan Heatley has joined the Enviros London office in the role of Technical Director for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
Alan will be responsible for providing direction, leadership and technical guidance on EIA and planning projects in a wide range of sectors bringing to bear in-depth experience for the benefit of clients and project teams alike.
Alan brings 17 years' experience in planning and environmental impact assessment across a wide range of sectors which includes transportation (including highways, rail and aviation), regeneration, waste, residential and commercial developments. Alan has also worked on behalf of both local planning authorities and central government agencies, and for private sector clients to assist in managing corporate reputation.
Since joining Enviros, Alan has been appointed Project Manager for the environmental assessment of the Truro Local Distributor Road in Cornwall. This is part of a proposed urban expansion scheme eventually involving the potential provision of up to 5,000 homes. The project will involve assessment of alternative route options, as well as a full Environmental Assessment; all work will be carried out in accordance with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges standards.
Before joining Enviros, Alan worked as Associate Director for WSP Environmental where he was part of the Environmental Planning team working on major regeneration schemes in London.
