The CRC is a new mandatory emissions trading scheme that aims to deliver energy and carbon savings in large, non energy intensive organisations, such as supermarkets, hotel chains, large offices and small industrial facilities in the private sector, plus local authorities (including state funded schools within a local authority portfolio), central government departments, hospitals and universities.
